Introduction: Each year, thousands of Canadians are being infected with a sexually transmitted disease. In class we have discussed what STIs are and how easily they can be spread through sexual contact.
Task: You have been selected by a local doctor to design a sexually transmitted disease brochure for her office. She asked that you select a STD that would present information for patient education and would like it specifically geared towards teenagers. The brochure should be designed so that it can be folded into thirds and displayed in her waiting room.
Procedure: 1. Once you choose your disease, you will research and collect information on the disease. 2. Answer ALL questions about your disease: You will answer the question and then cite where you received the information. If you got your information from the Internet, copy and paste the web address. DO NOT COPY & PASTE. You will receive no credit if you copy and paste. 3. Have Ms. C approve the answers to your questions. 4. Use a template in Word or Publisher to create a brochure about your disease. You may also do your brochure by hand if you prefer. 5. Hand in Brochure when finished.
